If you have read the May 2010 issue of Florida Sportsman Magazine then you are aware of the "Worm Swarm of Southeast Florida" and all the gamefish that feed on them. Well you won't want to miss this weekend’s Saturday Morning Fly Tying Session with Brian "Ruby" Struebing as he will be demonstrating his "Top Secret Palolo Worm Fly".
As always the Fly Tying Session if free but we do ask for $10.00 to cover the cost of materials. Bring you vise and your tools and join us at 9:30 am this Saturday May 1, 2010.

Bart Isaac will be in this Saturday March 20, 2010 leading our Fly Tying Session. Bart will be tying a Tan and Chartreuse Kwan fly in size #4. Bart says, "This is a great sight fishing fly as well as a search pattern. I use it mostly when the water is clear but it also works well when the water is a little murky".

Don't forget this Saturday March 13, 2010 The Salty Feather will be hosting a cook-off at the store. All four of our guides, Capt. John Bottko, Capt. David Borries, Capt. Tony Bozzella and Capt. Larry Miniard along with a few guest chefs will be here preparing their favorite dishes. This is an event you don't want to miss. Rumor has it that the dishes will range from fish chowders to blackened redfish tacos. The cooking will begin at 11:00am and go on until about 1:00 pm or till we run out of food. Bring the family along. If you haven't been to our new store yet this is the perfect opportunity to check out our new home and taste some great food as well. |

February 27th Captain Tony Bozzella will be in to talk about wintertime Redfishing in Northeast Florida. We will include a tying session with John demonstrating how to tie a Black Marabou Clouser Minnow.
As always there is no charge for the tying session but we do ask for $10.00 to cover materials. Bring your vise and tools and we will tie some flies and tell some fish stories. |
